Fun in the Sun!

This Memorial Day weekend was filled with many fun activities! The weekend started off with cousin Dylan's pre-school graduation and then a birthday dinner for mommy with Kamee, Papa and cousins Kaden and Korbin. Saturday was mommy's birthday so daddy made us breakfast and Nena joined us. Sunday we went to the lake and went out on the boat all day. This was the first time that Maddie had been on or in the lake swimming. We were nervous that she would throw a fit about the life-jacket. I put her in the water with daddy and she loved it! She laid on her back, closed her eyes and floated. There was one time when she actually fell asleep while floating on her back.....it was the cutest thing! I love the one picture where she is "conked" out....the sun and water wears her mommy out too!

The Bathing Beauty

Today was Maddie's 1st time in a swimming pool. She got in, splashed around and started kicking her legs.....she loved it! She also learned that if you get on the steps, you can stand up. I was kind of nervous at first putting her in the pool, because her daddy and I love the water so much, what if she hated it! But she loved it and had a blast! Maddie has many swimsuits, so I am sure that you will see lots more of this water baby modeling her summer wear!

Happy 10 Months Maddie!

Happy Birthday Maddie! This little girl is growing up right before our eyes! She loves to stand on her own, get in to anything you are doing and loves to carry on a conversation with you (a.k.a baby jibberish). Her new favorite foods are watermelon, strawberries and hummus. This age has been the most fun age, so far! The other night I was feeding her in our bed and I was acting like I was asleep. I had my arm out to my side.....Maddie got right in my face, as if she was making sure I wasn't trying to fake her out and then put her little hand in mine, she spread my fingers apart and laid her head in my palm. Little things like that are what life is all about. I can't wait to see what this next month brings! Happy Birthday Baby.......yeah!

Maddie's New Hobby

**BUSTED**Maddie caught in the act! She has recently discovered the toilet and toilet paper. This morning I was following behind her, with my cell phone in one of her hands, and she was heading straight for the toilet with it. Thank goodness I caught her or my phone would have been floating. Also, she loves to eat toilet paper (very odd)! So, if you ever come to my house and are looking for the toilet paper.....look up high because it will be out of "Swipers" reach.

Maddie's 1st Pedi!

Friday night I was painting my toes and Maddie was stuck to me watching. I figured that it was time for her first "pedi." Maddie has her daddy's feet.....block shaped and no arch! Her little piggie's are so precious to me, and now they match mommy's!

My 1st Mother's Day

Today was my 1st EVER Mother's Day! I have to say that it was one of the best days of my life. The day was started off with Daddy and Maddie giving me a dozen pink and orange roses....followed by some snuggling and cuddling in the big bed! We were then off to church! After a beautiful service we were then in search of a park with bucket swings for Maddie and a pretty place to have a picnic..... we found the perfect picnic place. I am hoping that today's picnic will start a Mother's Day tradition with Wade, Maddie and I. We ate dinner with Nena, Nite-nite, Dylan and Aunt Izzy. We came home and Maddie gave me her gift.....a beautiful picture frame with her handprint, name and Happy Mother's Day 2008 from Firefly! I am so blessed to be Maddie's Mother!

To the One Who Made Me a Mommy....

Being Maddie's Mommy is the most incredible thing in the world! My days are filled with her amazing smiles, her sweet snuggles, slobbery kisses and beautiful jibber-jabber that is music to my ears. I never imagined that my heart could be so big and full of love for anything.....but day by day, my hearts grows bigger and bigger for this little girl. God has made me Maddie's mommy and I am so honored that he picked me for her. Thank you so much Maddie for making me a mommy, and more importantly, your Mommy!

6 chics and Dylan....

This past weekend Maddie, myself, my sister and nephew took a roadtrip to St. Louis to visit my best friend and her girls. We went to Grants Farm, the Mills Outlet and LOTS of sightseeing!We snapped pics of Anheuser-Busch, The Arch and downtown (there were so many other photo ops that we didn't get to photograph....*Mr. Miyagi with a mullet in cammo* b-day party in da' hood*a mini van lost in da' hood for 2 hours looking for Chipolte* The Hill*And last, but not least.....2 kids, 1 toddler and 1 baby asleep in the minivan. Everyone had such a great time this weekend! Thank you so much Aunt April ( and the "girls") for letting us come and enjoy your world. We love you and we'll be back :)

Maddie's 9 month check-up

Maddie had her 9 month check up today and the doctor said she is doing wonderful!

Her are her stats.....weight: 20 lbs. 8 0z. and length: 29".

Happy 9 Months Maddie!

Happy Birthday lil' bit! Today Maddie woke up this morning and Wade brought her to our bed and we said Happy Birthday Maddie.....yeah! She started grinning and clapping.....she is such a joy in the morning. I look forward to when she wakes up so I can get some "Maddie snugglin' and see her little angelic face. It is so hard to believe that in 3 more months, we will be celebrating Maddie's 1st birthday! It seems like just yesterday she couldn't even hold her head up by herself and today she is standing. clapping, jibbering and trying to feed herself....

Maddie went to her 1st Travelers baseball game last night. We met Nite-Nite at the ballpark and then Emery and Reed (along with their parents) showed up a little later for the fun! Nite-Nite has been on the Traveler's board forever, so we were able to enjoy the game inside in the suite. Good thing because it was pretty chilly outside that evening!

I am willing to place a bet that Maddie will be eating a T-bone on her 1st birthday! Her 2 bottom teeth are all ready in and her two top front teeth are coming in. I was brushing her teeth the other morning and discovered 4 more top teeth coming in. That makes a total of 8 teeth all together!
