Happy 4th of July!!!
Sun, swimming, fun, freedom, friends, watermelon and ponies! This is how Maddie spent her 1st Independence Day! We had a lazy afternoon at the pool, came home and napped and headed out to Aunt April's parents house for dinner, ponies, good friends, fishing and baseball.....an All American afternoon! Maddie made lots of new friends and feasted on good food and tore up some watermelon! Here are some pics from the days festivities!

Did Someone Say Maddie Is Walking???
For the last month or two, Maddie has been taking one or two steps and then falling on her rump. The other day we were playing and she was fixated with something on the t.v. She took one step, I stood up to clap then realized if I made a sound she would stop. She took another step, and another and followed it with a couple more. She made it all the way to the t.v., turned around and clapped. Of course, I picked her up, cheered for her and told her how proud mommy was of her and then my eyes filled up with tears. Maddie just walked!!! She was in the bathroom with me one morning while I was getting ready. I was drying my hair and she was playing with a bag of my velcro rollers.....I went to roll my hair and was missing one roller???????
Maddie's Big Girl Chair!
Maddie recieved one of her birthday presents early. Mostly because it shipped too early and when I opened it, I couldn't wait to give it to her! I don't think that she has really gotten the idea with what to do with it. She likes to push it to the side of the bed, stand on it and beat on the top of the bed with her hands.....hey, what ever keeps her occupied and happy!

First Day of Swim Lessons
Today was Maddie's 1st day of swimming lessons. We sang lots of songs, learned how to climb out of the pool, blow bubbles, kick our feet and jump in (Maddie had nothing to do with the "jumping in" part of the class). Here is a picture of Maddie riding her pony and trying to balance on it while singing "Ring a Round the Rosie." Check back for more pics and her progress....
Lazy Days of Summer

Happy 11 Months Pretty Girl!
I cannot believe that next month we will be celebrating Maddie's 1st birthday! This little girl has grown like a wild fire. She is so close to walking....she takes 3-4 steps and then realizes what she is doing and falls on her bottom. Her new favorite snacks are grapes and cherries! Her little personality is full of spunk, laughter and her smile is stunning and contagious! Maddie is starting swim lessons on Monday....so check back for her "swim update."

Wade's 1st Daddy's Day!
Today was an extra special day for Wade! We started the day off by going to breakfast with Daddy and celebrating the little girl who made him a "Daddy!" We finished the day off by taking an afternoon swim.......Maddie loves to swim with her dad!

The Little Tadpole
Here are some more pics of Miss Maddie swimming. She is a natural in the water, kicking her feet and splashing her hands. She is very excited to start swimming lessons next week. It is a parents/children class so Wade and I will both be able to be in the water with her and help her learn to swim. Check back to see pics from her 1st swim class...
