Colorado or BUST!!!

This year for Spring Break we went skiing with Wade's family to Wolf Creek, Colorado. It was Maddie's first roadtrip, and except for getting a little ansy at times in her car seat, she was a trooper on this "Griswald family" vacation. She hung out on the ski slopes, went sledding and sight seeing, too. Maddie has traveled through Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Colorado......not to bad for an 8 month old!

The Easter Bunny found Maddie in Colorado

This year we spent Easter/Spring Break in Wolf Creek, Colorado. Even though is was cold outside and there was snow everywhere, Maddie was still dressed and ready for Spring. We found a small church to attend for Easter service, and I do have to say, that Maddie looked like a little angel in her Easter dress....Thank heaven for little girls!

Happy Birthday Miss Maddie!

Maddie is 8 months old today (I cannot believe how much time has flown by)! She is standing and pulling up on EVERYTHING! She is also balancing when she stands, so I am just waiting for her to take her first step, soon. She is full of funny expressions and her smile is everchanging with her 3 teeth. She is full of energy and very persistant...I am so excited of what our future holds with this little "fireball!" Happy Birthday baby, we love you!

Today is St. Patrick's Day and more importantly, my grandfather's 87th birthday! We love you Nite-Nite and hope you have a wonderful day!

Maddie and the Easter Bunny....

Maddie had a blast visiting the Easter Bunny! I know that when she gets older she will probably be upset with me for putting this hat on her....but I couldn't resist!

Yes, it is the month of March and we had another day of snow......typical Arkansas weather.

Miss Maddie Update

Maddie is now 7 months and 2 weeks old. Her 3rd tooth (top front one) is coming in and she is picking up anything and everything to chew on. She is pulling up and standing all the time. Her balance is pretty good, so we are expecting her to take her first step, any day now. She has really grown into her big personality and has new "faces" and "looks" all the time. She still smiles all the time and has now started making a new sound.....hi, hi, hi, hi. It is too cute! She loves to pull hair and give big slobbery kisses. One of her new things is looking out the window. I pull the blinds up and put a pillow on the floor for her to sit/stand on. She really gets a kick when she sees her daddy coming home. Maddie is such a sweet and happy baby....she sure has me wrapped around her little finger!

Our Little Snow Bunny!

Here are some pics of Maddie's first snow. We took her outside, sat her down and she did a "face plant" in the snow. Daddy fed her snow....hence the "yucky" face. All in all, I think she really enjoyed it.....BUT, I am hoping that she is going to be a "beach" lover like her mommy :)

Big Dam Bridge

This past weekend I took Maddie and her cousin Dylan to the Big Dam Bridge. The weather was beautiful, but a bit windy. Maddie enjoyed riding, lounging and watching Dylan wiz back and forth on his bike.

Happy Birthday Love Bug! Maddie celebrated her birthday by going to her first basketball game. We weren't sure how she would react to all of the people and loud sounds, but she seemed to enjoy herself. Her eyes would get real big and her legs would stiffen up whenever the buzzer would blow, but other than that, she just soaked all of the new sights and sounds in. Maddie is crawling like a mad woman and always seems to be up under my feet. She is also pulling up on objects and cutting another tooth. I can't wait to see what new things she will be doing this next month!

Happy Valentines's Day! Here are a couple of pics of Maddie in her v-day dress that my mom made for her. We recieved a great gift for Valentine's Day....Maddie is now crawling! I hope that everyone has a day filled with love, hugs and kisses (isn't every day filled with those things???)

For the last 6 months I have updated Maddie's blog weekly....I am now going to do a monthly update. I will still post random pics and updates throughout the month. I will still be journaling her life weekly for myself, but knowing me and knowing how much she is growing and changing, I will still be blogging all the time. LOOK OUT.....Maddie is mobile!

For a while now, Maddie has been able to "scoot" herself around on her belly. Within the last month, she is getting up on all fours and trying to crawl. Although her right leg doesn't cooperate with her some of the time, she still gives it all shes got! She has recently been pulling herself up on things, so she may be one of those kids that walk before they crawl. Either way, I have a feeling that Wade and I are going to have our hands full with Miss Maddie.

Week 26:

This week miss Maddie turned 6 months old! It is so hard to believe that a half a year has already passed…..where has the time gone?? I look back on all of my past blog entries and am amazed at what all this little person has accomplished. She has grown in to her own personality and a very determined little girl, I should say. Her little eyes light up when you call her name and her smile is the most captivating site that is sure to melt your heart. I can’t wait to see what all comes our way in the next 6 months! I am so thankful that God chose me to be maddie’s mommy!!

6 month stats...

Maddie went today for her 6 month doctor visit. Dr. Annulis said that she is doing great, like always. Maddie weighs 17 lbs. 10 oz. and is 27.50 in. long. It is so hard to believe that she has doubled her weight since she was born...but along with her weight, her charming personality has doubled, too!

Maddie is 6 months old today! It seems just like yesterday we were meeting her for the first time. These last months with Maddie in our lives have been the most happy, exciting, fulfilling and the most magical time EVER! Maddie, you complete your mommy and daddy! XOXOXO
