An Afternoon with "Pops!"
Today "Pops" came down to watch Maddie while Mommy went to lunch with the "Girls." Maddie had so much fun riding in her "Beep Beep," playing "Around the World" and having Pops chase her around the house! Her and Pops played so hard this afternoon that Maddie ran up to him, held her arms out and fell asleep on his chest. Thank you Pops for hanging with Maddie today and being the best Dad there ever was!
P.S Maddie wants to know when you are available for another play date :)
We love you,
Becca and Maddie
Maddie's 1 year check-up
Maddie had her 1 year check-up and shots :( today. The doctor said that she is still perfect! Maddie is walking, talking (repeating anything you say), eating "big people" food and sleeping at least 11 to 12 hours a night. Besides the shots, we had a good vist with the doc!
Here are her stats:
weight: 23 lbs. 12.8 ozs
length: 31" (The dr. still thinks that she will be a tall little girl)

Maddie's 1st Haircut
Maddie's 1st Birthday Party
We had Maddie's 1st Birthday party and what a success it was! We had good cake, good cookies and all of Maddie's loved ones where there to help her celebrate this big day. She enjoyed unwrapping all of her gifts and loved her pink cake! She spent most of the time running around chasing all her cousins! We didn't have a "theme party" but everything was pink, pink, pink! It was fun planning Maddie's 1st birthday party....thank goodness I have another year til the next one! Enjoy the pics!

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Maddie!
Happy Birthday Sweet Baby!!To even talk about my little baby turning 1, brings tears to my eyes! It is so true when people say that having a baby makes you wear your your heart on your shoulder! This past year has been filled with new things and lots of "happy tears!" Tears when Maddie was born; when she came home; when she slept on my chest all night long; when she took a bath for the 1st time; when she slept in the pac-n-play ( in our bedroom) for the 1st time; when she ate baby food for the 1st time; when she rolled over for 1st time; when she rode in the stroller for the 1st time; when sat in mommy's lap for the 1st time while getting ready in the morning; when she sat up for the 1st time; when she said "O-KAY" for the 1st time; when she clapped for the 1st time......I could go on and on and on. I look back to the first entry on this blog and am amazed with how much this little girl has accomplished in the first year of her life. This past year of my life, with Maddie, has brought me so much happiness, hope, life, love and miracles! Thank you Madeline Pierce Moore for being such a ray of sunshine in so many people's life! I can't wait to see wait the next year brings:)
I love you,
Mommy
Little Maddie Crocker
I baked and iced homeade sugar cookies for 3 days for Maddie's birthday party. My mom was helping and I asked her, "Why in the heck am I starting to bake after 34 years???" Her reply was, " You now have a daughter." She was right! The things you do for your kids. Here are some pics of Maddie helping her mommy and "Nena" bake her birthday cookies.

GOT MADDIE?????
I was getting ready this morning and had a head-band on so I could wash my face. Maddie kept reaching for it, so I got one for her. She loves to sit in my lap when I am getting ready and play with all of mommy's "stuff" and she has also started brushing her own hair. It's scary how much they learn from just watching you. It looks like a tornado has blown through the bathroom when she is done playing :) The other pics are of her playing in her "jammies!"

The world looks so different facing this way!
I finally switched Maddie over to her "big girl car seat" yesterday! I figured she will be 1 in a week in a half, so what's the big deal??? She was so funny sitting in it for the first time....she couldn't wipe the smile of her face! She was laughing, clapping her hands (and her feet) and hollering! It was one of the funniest things I have seen. I guess she was happy to finally be seeing the world facing forward and not backwards!
