Precious pickin'

Ok , this is cute. The first picture is a picture, yesterday morning, of the tulips that I planted earlier this season. Maddie went outside to play this morning (I turned my back for 1 second)

and I heard, "Pity momma!" I turned around and saw her making her way back to me holding out the tulips to give to me! She had the biggest smile on her face :) I always LOVE to get flowers, especially tulips because they are my favorite! I guess this morning was no different, my little girl brought me flowers.....she's the BEST!

Happy 88th Birthday "Nite-Nite!"

Today was my Grandfather's 88th Birthday! We celebrated by taking him to dinner! Maddie painted him a birthday card and picture for the big day! Oh, did I mention that he played 18 holes of golf today??? He is, by far, the most amazing human being I know. I am so blessed to have him as my grandfather and best friend!

Labor of LOVE!!!

Ok, so this is my "Labor of Love for Maddie" latest project. It has taken me forever (it seems) but it is finally finished and I have to say that I am satisfied (after many coats of paint and painting over things). Maddie even put a couple of brush strokes on the chairs, too! I hope she enjoys having her "teas" (tea parties) with all of her stuffed animals on her newly renovated table and chairs :)

Mardi Gras Parade!

We went downtown yesterday for the 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Parade. This was Maddie's 1st parade to ever attend. They had floats, bead throwing (Family Friendly), candy and a dog parade! I think she enjoyed the "snacks" in her diaper bag the most, though! It was a fun festive time with the family!

Here are some pics of our favorite Valentine! The heart plate is the artwork that we did at Firefly Studios (LOVE that place) for Valentine's day ( I really enjoy taking Maddie to play with pottery and she absolutely loves it), the "Butterfly Kisses" card is what she made for all of her loved one, and the "Be Mine" is her Valentine to Mommy that she made at school!
