Maddie's 1st Dance Recital
This was Maddie's 1st dance recital, and though she didn't do much dancing, she still looked cute with "mucho" attitude. Some of the kids danced, some of them ran off the stage, some of them cried, but no, not Maddie....she just stood there on stage with her hands on her hips with this look that was priceless! Maybe her Spring recital will be a different story :)

"Get dat bug momma!"
Cute story.....Maddie was in the bathroom playing and I was in the kitchen. I heard her yelling, " Get dat bug momma!" I ran in to the bathroom and she had a cricket cornered. I proceeded to explain to her, that's one of the great reasons she has a daddy, to "get toes bugs!" I went back in to the kitchen, saw her run through the living room back in to the bathroom. Next thing I hear is "Whack! Whack! Whack! I went running BACK to the bathroom and saw her pounding this poor cricket to death with one of her jeweled princess slippers! She looked up at me and said, "Mommy, I got dat bug!" I was just amazed that she is so unlike me in the sense where I steer clear of bugs. I was wiping off her slipper and turned around to see her flushing the toilet. She had gotten toilet paper, picked up the squashed cricket and flushed it:)Carving of the Princess Pumpkin
This was the first year that Maddie carved her own (well, cleaned out) pumpkin with help from daddy! She had a great time pulling out the "innerds" yelling, "Ewwwe!" and then throwing them. Thanks daddy for helping me carve my perfect princess pumpkin!
Dancin' and Dressin' Up
Maddie got to wear her Halloween costume to dance practice the week of Halloween. There Wonder Woman is with Miss Cari and then WW enjoying a pumpkin sucker.....shuffle step....shuffle step!
Race for the Cure 2009
I do the Race for the Cure, and this was the first year that Wade and Maddie joined me! Wade was a part of "3 Miles of Men" and Maddie was her mommy's cheerleader. The first mile, she stayed with daddy, the last two miles she came with me .5 mile in her stroller, 2.5 miles me carrying her! I hope that she will be a part of this important cause with me for years to come :)
