Maddie's 1st Dance Recital
This was Maddie's 1st dance recital, and though she didn't do much dancing, she still looked cute with "mucho" attitude. Some of the kids danced, some of them ran off the stage, some of them cried, but no, not Maddie....she just stood there on stage with her hands on her hips with this look that was priceless! Maybe her Spring recital will be a different story :)

"Get dat bug momma!"
Cute story.....Maddie was in the bathroom playing and I was in the kitchen. I heard her yelling, " Get dat bug momma!" I ran in to the bathroom and she had a cricket cornered. I proceeded to explain to her, that's one of the great reasons she has a daddy, to "get toes bugs!" I went back in to the kitchen, saw her run through the living room back in to the bathroom. Next thing I hear is "Whack! Whack! Whack! I went running BACK to the bathroom and saw her pounding this poor cricket to death with one of her jeweled princess slippers! She looked up at me and said, "Mommy, I got dat bug!" I was just amazed that she is so unlike me in the sense where I steer clear of bugs. I was wiping off her slipper and turned around to see her flushing the toilet. She had gotten toilet paper, picked up the squashed cricket and flushed it:)
Race for the Cure 2009
I do the Race for the Cure, and this was the first year that Wade and Maddie joined me! Wade was a part of "3 Miles of Men" and Maddie was her mommy's cheerleader. The first mile, she stayed with daddy, the last two miles she came with me .5 mile in her stroller, 2.5 miles me carrying her! I hope that she will be a part of this important cause with me for years to come :)

I'm a Celebrity!
One of my girlfriends is "Mrs. Polka Dot Papers" and has a monthly segment on a local television station and this segment was on easy Halloween outfits to put together. She called and asked if Maddie could be a model and I told her that she may be a bit shy (from our experience at dance class). Maddie rocked it out on t.v. I was so proud of her! We had to be up at 5am, at the studio by 6am, thank goodness Kamme stayed the night to help out. After Maddie's televivion debut, we stopped by Shipley's for a sugar high :)
